Operations Scope
SUBMARINE MAINTENANCE SERVICES
BSES is manned by a multidisciplinary workforce with expertise in mechanical, electrical, electronics, submarine engineering, and naval architecture, comprising engineers, foremen, and technicians. These personnel are qualified to perform maintenance on both submarines and surface ships. Their competencies have been developed through hands-on experience with the Royal Malaysian Navy, and various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Each team member has been carefully selected for their strong background and proven experience in naval Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations.
SUBMARINE FACILITIES SERVICES
BSES is responsible for the operation and maintenance of yard facilities, covering both preventive and corrective maintenance activities. The maintenance scope encompasses yard and workshop infrastructure, material handling equipment, electrical systems, umbilical facilities, synchrolift and transfer systems, tugboats, and safety conditioning facilities. The workforce supporting these operations comprises professionals from diverse technical backgrounds, including Dockmasters, Tugboat Captains, Chargemen, Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers, as well as Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operators.
LITTORAL MISSION SHIPS WARRANTY DEFECT WORKS
BSES personnel under the supervision of Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group (WSIG) assisted WSIG providing on-site labour to perform technical services (i.e. access work, inspection, repair, maintenance and replacement of spare parts) for the RMN Littoral Mission Ships KD KERIS, KD SUNDANG, KD BADIK and KD RENCONG.
PROJECT SUPPLY CHAIN & LOGISTICS
The Procurement, Finance, Warehouse, and Contracts departments manage and execute all operational and administrative functions essential to supporting frontline operations. This includes the sourcing and supply of spare parts, as well as the coordination of comprehensive logistics and provisioning activities.
