Business Overview
As a subsidiary of Boustead Heavy Industrial Corporation, BHIC Submarine Engineering Services Sdn. Bhd. (BSES) established in 2015, serves as the primary contractor for In-Service Support for the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) Prime Minister Class Submarines. Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, with operational hubs in Kota Kinabalu and Lumut, BSES plays a vital role in supporting Malaysia’s maritime defence by delivering essential Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services for naval vessels.
Business Activities
BSES is currently managing the In-Service Support 2 (ISS2) for the RMN Prime Minister Class Submarines, playing a critical role in sustaining naval operational readiness.
As part of this role, BSES oversees industrial activities associated with submarine maintenance and through-life support to ensure sustained operational readiness of all systems.
In addition, BSES is responsible for the operation and maintenance of supporting facilities, ensuring that all assets remain mission ready. The ISS2 program reflects BSES’s steadfast commitment in delivering reliable, high-quality support to the Royal Malaysian Navy.
BSES also undertakes technologically related initiatives and delivers comprehensive Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services for Surface Ship.
